Registration and practices will begin Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Practices are held at the O’Maley Middle School lower gym on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s & Friday’s from 6pm-8pm.
This program is for students in Grades K – 8 in Gloucester, Rockport, Essex & Manchester and is open to both males and females.
(Students in grades K–2 will be considered based on their ability to demonstrate appropriate behavior, maintain focus, and remain attentive during practice, as ensuring a safe environment is a top priority.)
The program is designed to teach students the basics of wrestling as a competitive sport and is mentored by a Massachusetts high school coach as well as local parent coaches.
This program also provides a base for students interested in pursuing wrestling at the high school varsity level.
All students must be dropped off and picked up.
There will be matches/scrimmages/tournaments on weekends as well.

*outdoor shoes not permitted on the mats, please bring wrestling shoes, we may have extra shoes if needed for beginners.
Grippy socks also work great for beginners.
The fee for the season is $250 per wrestler.
Please bring payment to practice. (Due by 11/18)
Checks can be made out to Cape Ann Youth Wrestling or CAYW.
This fee will cover all practices and scrimmages as well as a team shirt.
Parents will also have to purchase a team uniform for tournaments/duals (price TBD).
